Two Big Lessons From The Super Bowl For Your Business

In the wake of the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl win over the Atlanta Falcons, the internet was ablaze with highlights and commentary on their remarkable win.  There has never been a team that has come back to win the Super Bowl after having more than a 10 point deficit.

For most of the game, it was looking like a blowout in Atlanta’s favor. At one point they had a 28-3 lead. But…the Pats came back to win it from a 25 point deficit!

What lessons can we take away from a football game and apply to our businesses?

Watch the video below for the Two Big Lessons From The Super Bowl For Your Business.  I actually start talking about these two points right around the 2:30 mark.

So to sum it up:

  1. Don’t have a defeated attitude when things aren’t going as well as you’d planned. In the first months (maybe even years) you may not experience many wins. It may feel like all your doing is pouring into your business and not getting much in return. Don’t be defeated–Remember there’s a second half!
  2.  Don’t commit this fatal flaw…never get to a place where you ‘made it’ and you stop pushing forward. Don’t get too comfy sitting on your laurels and counting your past wins. If you’re not moving forward, you’ll fizzle.
