But today we’re going to give you the cure! All you have to do is take the medicine. 😉
I was privileged and inspired to be on a broadcast with premier mentor and motivational speaker, Cynthia Bazin of SmartChic as she shared several steps to help you get out of your comfort zone. I’m going to expound on just four of those steps for you here that will help you bust out of your comfort zone and into creating the positive change you’ve been craving.

The reason why most people struggle, get stagnant and don’t have breakthroughs is because they want to grow and succeed without having to do anything outside of their comfort zone.

If you want to see a change in your circumstances, in your finances, in your relationships…whatever it is that you are looking to make a successful positive change in, you have to be willing to go through some discomfort. As Cynthia put it in her Periscope broadcast, “No Discomfort, No Growth”.

The 4 Necessary Steps To Help You Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone

So to recap, these are the four steps:
- You must know and have a strong “Why”. Why do you want this so badly? It cannot be a vague or fluffy why; it HAS to be lazer-focused and strong enough to carry you through the challenges you’ll face. Your why should almost bring you to tears. What are you so sick and tired of that you just can’t tolerate any more? That’s your why.
- Pinpoint and write down the fear you need to break through. Even if you had a strong why before, there is a fear that’s been blocking you from really pushing forward. Figure out what that fear is that you need to breakthrough and write it down. You have to recognize what the enemy is so you can attack it!
- You have to make a commitment. Set your goals and attach a date to it. Then tell someone about your commitment.
- Be vulnerable with one person and make yourself accountable. This is especially important if you have a history of starting and stopping, sizzling and fizzling. Choose someone (preferably not a spouse or significant other) who is not going to let you off the hook easy and let you “fluff out” of your commitments.
Breaking out of your comfort zone is going to be painful, but if you want success in any area of your life, you just have to do it!
